Abstract
Transparent sodium lead-borate glasses-doped zirconium nanoparticles were synthesized. Some physical and optical constants like molar refractivity, molar polarizability proportional to(m) electronegativity, optical basicity and indirect optical band gap are estimated. The radiation parameters for NPBZ glasses as mass attenuation coefficient, linear attenuation, HVL, TVL, N-eff, Z(eff), Z(eq), energy exposure factor and energy absorption buildup factor were determined depending on XCOM and Phy-X/PSD programs. The relative deviation and radiation protection efficiency are produced. The fast neutron removal is calculated in terms of Sigma R. The investigated results indicate that transparent Na/Pb/B glasses containing zirconium nanopartide are a good candidate substance for gamma ray and fast neutron removal protection.
