Abstract

diethylzinc

enantioselectivity: benzotriazole, chiral amides

In the presence of the chiral amino-alcohol (−) N,N-dibutylnorephedrine (DBNE), N-(amidobenzyl)benzotriazoles react with diethylzinc to give the corresponding amides with up to76% ee.
