Abstract

caryophyllene oxide essential oil composition Rosa abyssinica Rosaceae γ-muurolene
The essential oil of the aerial parts (including flowers) of Rosa abyssinica R. Br. was investigated by GC and GC/MS. Thirty-five components were identified in the oil, representing 93.3%. The main components were γ-muurolene (13.0%) and caryophyllene oxide (26.6%).
