Abstract
The phytochennical profiles of four types of extracts of Cichorium Intybus (L) roots are examined and evaluated. This roots are extracted by different methods, some of them are traditional like decoction method and soxhlet extraction. Supercritical fluid extraction (SEE) also is used as a modern method. The fourth type of extract is extracted by pure methanol which used as a co-solvent with CO2 in SFE. he qualitative screening for several phytochennical compounds by different tests which revealed the availability of many important phytochennical compounds such as carbohydrates, alkaloids, glycosides, phytosterols, amino acids, phenols, flavonoids, fixed oil and fats. Furthermore the pharmacological activities are is for the SC-CO2 extract to examine anti-tuberculosis, anti-malaria and anti-microbial activities because it is not found any related study regarding the phytochennical and Pharmacological analysis of such type of extract.
