Abstract
Antibacterial activity of n-hexane, EtOAc and EtOH extracts of Diabrid (herbal formulation) were studied in-vitro against twelve pathogenic and nonpathogenic gram positive and gram negative bacteria. n-Hexane and EtOAc extracts exhibited maximum antibacterial activity against all the microorganisms used during present investigation at each concentration i.e. 5 %, 2 % and 1 % as compared to EtOH which showed good antibacterial activity at 5 % concentration while Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus pumilus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Eschrichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae showed resistance at 1 % concentration of EtOH.
