Abstract
A facile, highly efficient and environmentally benign one-pot protocol has been developed for the synthesis of 2-aminothiazoles by stirring of acetophenone, N-bromosuccinimide and followed by thiourea at room temperature in glycerol-water as a greener reaction medium. NBS used as Brominating agent for monobromination of differently substituted acetophenones.
