Abstract
Fixed point theorems are obtained for mappings satisfying condition (C), which was introduced recently by T. Suzuki in [Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl., 340 (2008), 1088-1095]. As applications, invariant approximation theorems are derived.
