Abstract
In the present work, we have taken an attempt to prepare waterborne linseed polyesteramide [WBPEA]/OMMT clay composites by microwave-assisted facile route to increase the application of bio-based materials like seed oils. The presence of characteristic absorption bands of OMMT clay in FTIR spectra confirmed the formation of composite. Morphological studies of the composites were carried out by using TEM and XRD techniques. Thermal (TGA) analysis was used to investigate the thermal stability of the composite. The synthesized composites may serve as prospective candidates in the area of environmentally friendly waterborne protective coatings. These can be safely used upto 290 degrees C.
