Abstract
In this paper, we propose a multimodal biometric system with high security level based on finger and palm print. Verification/identification is performed by fusing features form different finger and palm prints. The features are extracted using Zernike moments (ZM) invariant algorithm. Fisher's ratio (F-ratio) is used to select the optimum moments. The experimental results show that ring fingerprint, palm print, middle fingerprint, and thumb fingerprint give better performance than other fingerprints. Applying F-ratio on these four prints can recognize all the 50 individuals participated in the experiments.
