Abstract
Two dimensional ferrofluid flow with magnetic dipole and homogeneous-heterogamous reactions is analyzed. Flow is caused by linear stretching of surface. Transformation procedure is adopted to obtain the non-linear ordinary differential equations from the fundamental laws of mass, linear momentum, energy and concentration. Characteristics of sundry parameters on the velocity, temperature and concentration fields are graphically elaborated. It is noted that impact of magneto-thermomechanical interaction slows down the fluid motion. The skin friction coefficient enhances and affects the rate of heat transfer. For higher values of ferrohydrodynamics interaction the velocity profile shows decreasing behavior. Further Prandtl number on temperature has opposite behavior when compared with thermal radiation and ferrohydrodynamics interaction. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
