Abstract
We introduce the concepts of (alpha, eta, F, psi, phi, p)-rational contractions via wdistances. For such type contractions, we ensure the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point in the setting of alpha - eta metric spaces. An example is also given to support our given theorems. Our paper generalizes the work of Lakzian et al. [11] and several related articles in the literature.
