Abstract
The low grade stibnite waste dump material containing 20% metallic antimony was screened to pass 200 mesh. The antimony contents were increased to 35.0% in the finer fraction. The finer fraction material was concentrated by flotation with coal tar and coal tar creosote. Excellent results with high recoveries and improved grade were obtained by the combination of these collectors. Maximum percent recovery was obtained with the ratio of 2:3 coaltar-coaltar creosote combination. The sulphuric acid was used as modifying agent.
