Objectives The objective of this study was to determine the frequency of hyponatremia and short term clinical outcomes in patients hospitalized for heart failure. Conclusions Hyponatremia in hospitalized patients with heart failure is common and is associated with longer hospital stay, higher in-hospital and early post-discharge mortality.
