Abstract A novel β-hydroxychalcone, galiposin (1), was isolated from the bark of GALIPEA GRANULOSA. The structure of galiposin was established via spectroscopic analysis, including high resolution one- and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry, as well as mass spectroscopy.
