Abstract
In this paper we consider a chemostat that involves a three species food chain with no imposed periodicities. The bottom trophic level species depends on a single, essential, growth-limiting nutrient. For a particular choice of prototype response functions. We use Liapunov functions in the study of the global stability of equlibria. Mathematical analysis of the model equations with regard to invariance of non-negativity, boundedness of solutions, dissipativity and persistence are studied.
