Abstract
A Hilbert space operator is hyponormal if T*T - TT* is positive. We consider hyponormality of Toeplitz operators on the Bergman space with a symbol in the class of f + (g) over bar where f is a monomial and g is a polynomial. We give sufficient conditions for hyponormality in this case.
