Abstract
Herein, we report the successful synthesis, characterization and hydrazine chemical sensing application of nickel doped antimony oxide (NiSb2O4) nanoellipsoids. The nanoellipsoids were prepared by soft chemical approach and characterized by different techniques. The detailed characterizations revealed that the nanoellipsoids were grown in high density and possessing well-crystallinity with tetragonal crystal structure of NiSb2O4. For application point of view, the prepared nanoellipsoids were used to develop robust, reproducible and highly sensitive hydrazine chemical sensor based on modified screen-printed electrode (SPE). The fabricated electrochemical hydrazine sensor exhibited ultra-high sensitivity of 0.21 mu A/ppb up to 10 ppm. To the best of our knowledge, such sensor using composite metal oxide is being reported for the first time in this paper.
