Abstract
Observations were made on disease incidence in Najdi, Awassi and Hejazi sheep over a 30 months period. The main diseases of the suckling lamb were those of the respiratory and digestive systems. Digestive system diseases were the most important in the weaned lamb. The diseases which affected the adult sheep were variable and included skin diseases, aliments which required surgical interference, respiratory and digestive system diseases, and abortions. On an overall basis Najdi sheep suffered most from diseases and Hejazi sheep the least; Awassi sheep were intermediate.
