Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of pulsed High Intensity laser therapy (HILT) and moderate intensity exercise on the immune system. A 31 female volunteers were randomly assigned into three groups; HILT group, exercise group and combined HILT and exercise group. HILT was applied to both axillary region with total energy of 4000 J, two sessions per week, for 8 weeks and exercises with moderate intensity was performed two sessions per week for 8 weeks. Blood samples were taken before and after 8 weeks of intervention. Comparison of the pre and post treatment values of white blood cells (WBCs), Neutrophils and Lymphocytes for each group revealed a significant improvement in the three groups (p<0.0001) after 8 weeks of intervention but, there was no significant differences between 3 groups in WBCS, Neutrophils and Lymphocytes level at the end of 8 weeks of intervention (p>0.05). In conclusion HILT and moderate intensity exercise producing positive effects on immune system in females..
