Abstract

Mechanics Physical Sciences Science & Technology Technology Thermodynamics
The current study presents a numerical simulation for multicomponent flow inside the Ethylene oxide micro-reactor channel. The catalyst surface is treated as a functional surface. The fluxes of each species are defined based on the Borman and Westerterp model. The Reynolds number in the study is below 250; therefore, the flow is laminar. The presence of V-shape ribs improves the process of ethylene oxide production inside the micro-reactor of ethylene oxide.
