Bimetallic Au-Pd clusters were successfully elaborated by selective deposition over citrate-functionalized TiO2 nanociystallites. Anisotropic gold nanoparticles are obtained by adjusting the Pd/Au ratio. An original method to generate "in situ" H2O2 from formic acid and O-2 is discussed and evaluated in the selective oxidation of benzyl alcohol as a model reaction.
