Abstract
A newly designed system for perfusion of the human ovary has been described. The main goal is to elucidate the interrelationship of ovarian steroidogenesis and tile development of endometrial carcinoma. The functional integrity of the perfused ovary (after 7 hours of perfusion) was confirmed by histochemical identification of the 3 B-oI-steroid dehydrogenase and the estrogens produced by perfusing the ovary with androstenedione.
