The ammonium salt of 12-tungstophosphoric acid, with the Keggin structure, has been synthesized on niobium phosphate (NbP) by salt-surface interaction; the catalyst exhibits high selectivity to benzaldehyde in the vapor phase air oxidation of benzyl alcohol.
