Abstract

Blood samples of 2500 healthy volunteer donors attending the Jordan UniversityHospital Blood Bank were screened for HB SAg by the R.I.A. and R.P.H.A. methods and revealed the presence of 111 HBP SAg positive samples (4·4%). A higher positive rate was present among elderly donors from crowded poor areas with low income, education and hygiene.
