Abstract
We first describe the problem, determining the best value for a variable W whose value depends on the value of a related variable V. Here we assume our knowledge of V is uncertain and is modeled using a fuzzy measure. We discuss the properties of a fuzzy measure and its use modeling uncertainty. We describe the concept of the dual of a fuzzy measure and the related idea of a Pan-Dual. We describe a procedure for obtaining the best estimate of W using the Pan-Dual of V and provide an illustrative example.
