Abstract
Lanthanum is a known rare earth element used as dopant for photocatalytic and enhanced surface properties of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and so here pure and La doped TiO2 nanoparticles are prepared by chemical co-precipitation method and characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), FT-IR, DRS, Photo luminescence (PL), SEM and EDAX. The influence of this doping on the solar conversion efficiency is measured from the J-V measurements and discussed. The effect of this phosphor is seen in UV spectrum and hence its reflection in the efficiency.
