Abstract
Finds that intentional and unintentional injuries are a major cause of death among women aged 10-50 years in Bangladesh. This study was part of a broader survey carried out nationally in 1996 to identify pregnancy and abortion-related morbidity and deaths due to all causes among women of reproductive age in Bangladesh. Suggests that strategies to reduce injury-related deaths among women need to be devised. (Original abstract - amended)
