Abstract
In this study, a new Co(II)-substituted Keggin-type polyoxomolybdate was synthesized at room temperature and characterized by FT-IR, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), UV-visible spectroscopy, TG-DTA thermal analysis, single crystal X-ray diffraction technique and cyclic voltammetry study. The crystal packing exhibits non-conventional C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot S hydrogen bonds which lead to a three-dimensional supramolecular framework. The catalytic property of compound (1) was positivity tested in the degradation of crystal violet dye (CV) investigated.
