Abstract
The mechanisms of the non-isothermal decomposition of [Co(NH3)5X]Br2 complexes with X = Cl, Br or I atoms are reported together with the determination of the kinetic parameters Z, E, DELTA(H) and DELTA(S) by non-isothermal methods. The complexes decomposed in well defined steps and the mechanisms by which decomposition took place have been manifested. The TG, DTG and DSC of the various complexes were taken under N2 as well as O2 atmosphere. The enhancement effect of O2 gas on the decomposition steps has been interpreted.
