Notwithstanding that tooth-supported partial dentures are successfully utilized to replace the missing teeth, their primary limitation is the need for a good and sufficient number of abutment teeth to adequately support the prosthesis. [...]they are susceptible to multiple complications, like debonding, recurrent caries, occlusal trauma, periodontal and pulpal diseases. [...]this survey study was performed to assess the knowledge and awareness of the patients attending dental hospitals in the Asir region of Saudi Arabia towards dental implant treatment. 2.MATERIALS AND METHODS Institutional ethical review board approval was obtained for this cross-sectional study (registration no SRC/ETH/2018-19/123). According to participants' opinion, 156 (37%) of the dental implant patients they knew were extremely satisfied with the outcome, while 74 (17.5%) were partially satisfied and 17 (4.0%) were unsatisfied with dental implant treatment outcome.
