Korovkin type approximation theorems exhibit a variety of test functions which assure that the approximation property holds on the whole space if it holds for them. In this paper, we prove Korovkin type approximation theorems for functions of two variables by using different sets of test functions through a-convergence of double sequences. We also show that our results are stronger than some other Korovkin type approximation theorems.
