Abstract
Cataract is the leading cause of blindness worldwide and disproportionately affects those in developing countries. In this article, Dr Faheem Ahmed of NHS England, Dr Ibrahim HN Sheriff of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Dr Hammad H Malik of Watford General Hospital, and Dr Na'eem Ahmed of St George's Hospital, consider the case of Bangladesh and the NGO's vision to help address preventable blindness in the region.
