The ovarian luteocytes were hypertrophied till the middle stage of pregnancy followed by degenerative changes at the end of pregnancy. The luteotrophs increased towards the late stage of pregnancy. The luteocytes of the ovary attained their maximum size during the middle stage of pregnancy and then degenerated gradually.
