Abstract
A useful green approach has been used to synthesize chalcones 3a-f by more sustainable routes with different conditions. Ultrasonic irradiation was employed for the synthesis and various solvents and bases were applied. We observed that methanol and the catalyst LiOH center dot H2O were the best conditions for synthesis compounds 3a-f in a high yield and short reaction time. On the other hand, in the reflux condition, the tetrazole ring was opened to give 4.
