We study the tau(+)tau(-) decay mode of a light CP-odd Higgs boson of the NMSSM, a(1), produced in bottom-gluon fusion at the LHC. It is shown that for high luminosity of the LHC, there exist regions of the NMSSM parameter space that can be exploited to detect the a(1) through this channel.
