Abstract
Lymphangiomas are uncommon congenital malformations that result from abnormal lymphatic vessel development; however, they mostly occur during infancy and early childhood. Commonly they located in the head and neck, and rarely found in the oral cavity. Clinically, lymphangiomas may present as localized or diffuse growths that may enlarge to cause macroglossia, leading to impaired speech, mastication difficulties, airway obstruction, and other possible deformities of the maxillofacial structures. Here we present the first case with localized lymphangiomas of the tongue reported from our tertiary care center.
