Abstract
Mechatronics related issues are often overlooked in engineering systems. Most of these overlooked issues are vital in design of integrated systems. After giving a brief account of mechatronics, the paper explains the interaction between mechatronical integration and complexity involved, along with logical integration of different activities in a manufacturing system. It also gives an idea for the formation of an efficient and effective integrated design team of mechatronic engineers. The paper looks at how organizations can benefit from learning to apply the ideas and principles that mechatronics embodies.
