Abstract
The La-0.6(Sr0.1Ba0.9)(0.4)Mn1-xCrxO3 (x = 0%, 5%, and 10%) manganite was prepared by sol-gel route. These nanoparticles crystallize in a rhombohedral structure with space group R-3C. In fact, magnetocaloric results revealed large magnetic entropy change values making our samples potential candidate for magnetic refrigeration applications. Referring to the universal data, we conclude that all our nanoparticles exhibit a second-order phase of magnetic transition. Thereby, we proved that only the composition x = 0 is in good agreement with the mean field approximation.
