Abstract
Capparis cartilaginea Decne. is a member of the Capparaceae family and has long been a popular food and medicine plant in the region. It has long been used in traditional medicine to treat a variety of human ailments and disorders, prompting researchers to identify some of the primary phytochemicals present in C. cartilaginea extracts in order to scientifically support and prove the plant's medicinal properties. These phytochemical screenings also revealed a diverse range of secondary metabolites, providing compelling proof of the plant's therapeutic properties.
