Abstract

Chemistry Chemistry, Multidisciplinary Physical Sciences Science & Technology
The treatment of substituted 2-hydroxy benzaldehydes with 2 -nitro ethanol supported on anhydrous potassium carbonate, in presence of catalytic amount of tetrabutylammmonium bromide (TBAB) leads to the synthesis of 3-nitro-2H-chromene derivatives by a solvent less phase-transfer catalytic (PTC) reaction under microwave irradiation.
