Abstract

•The term mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is not widely known. However, the lack of knowledge was mostly with regard to the terminology.•There is a limited knowledge of the available services to individuals who were experiencing MCI symptoms.•Age, sex, and education were the most crucial factors affecting the knowledge of MCI.
