Abstract
Mixed convection of hybrid-nanofluid (H2O–Cu/Al2O3) moving through the vertical channel has been investigated in this article. Assuming that the sides of the channel are subject to thermal radiative flux and variable temperature, a system of partial differential equations due to momentum and energy has been considered under these assumptions. Using the non-dimension variables technique, the system is transformed into ordinary differential equations, which are solved analytically for both cases of buoyancy force. The velocity and temperature profiles are plotted. Moreover, the Nusselt number is calculated and then investigated under the variation of the pertinent parameters. The obtained results indicate that the hybrid fluids and thermal radiation have a clear influence on the velocity and temperature behavior, such that we observed that the hybrid flow of nanofluid shifted the location of the Rayleigh number to be high compared with mono nanoparticle fluid Furthermore, the presence of thermal radiation improve the rate of heat transfer by 12%–22% according to the ratio of hybrid nanoparticles within the base fluid.
