Abstract

Chemistry Chemistry, Inorganic & Nuclear Crystallography Physical Sciences Science & Technology
The syntheses and crystal structures of Hg(CN)(2)center dot(N-3)(2)center dot Cu(C5H5N)(2) (1) and NaHg(CN)(2)center dot(N-3)(2)center dot Cu(N-3)(C3H10N2)(2) (2) are reported. The interplay between linear Hg(CN)(2) and N-3(-) building units by way of long Hg center dot center dot center dot N secondary interactions leads to new types of hybrid inorganic-organic networks in these phases.
