Abstract
The title compound, 4,7,13,16,21,24-hexaoxa-1-azonia-10-azabicyclo[8.8.8]hexacosane picrate monohydrate, C18H37N2O6+center dot C6H2N3O7-center dot H2O, is a salt of [2.2.2]cryptand (4,7,13,16,21,24-hexaoxa-1,10-diazabicyclo[8.8.8]hexacosane) with picric acid (2,4,6-trinitrophenol). The monoprotonated cryptand cation encapsulates a water molecule through N-H center dot center dot center dot O and O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds.
