Abstract
A new technique for motion estimation using modified Fourier spectrum is presented. The Fourier spectrum of the image sequence is modified such that the imaginary part is subtracted from the real part. It is proved that the velocity is related to the location of the peaks in the modified spectrum. This method is faster than the previous implementations using the original Fourier spectrum.
