Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C11H13Br1N2O1S1, consists of two independent molecules, which are linked by N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, forming a dimer. Both molecules maintain the trans-cis configuration with respect to the position of the butanoyl groups and benzene rings against the thiono group across the C-N bonds. The molecule is stabilized by intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds. Intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot S, C-H center dot center dot center dot S and C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions also occur.
