Nuclear structure of the doubly magic Ni-68 and its neighbors has been studied by spectroscopic techniques. Developing a new instrument isomer-scope, we have measured gamma rays from nano-second isomers produced in heavy-ion deep-inelastic collisions with great sensitivity.
