Abstract
Characterization of 2 hrs thermal aged AsAgS films deposited on quartz substrate by thermal evaporation technique was investigated. XRD of the as prepared and 423 K 2 hrs thermal aged AsAgS films show poly crystalline nature with preferred orientation 306 and 624. Elevating temperature decreases both the poly crystalline nature and its optical gap from 2.4 to 2.27 eV due to bonds' breaking. Other optical constants; refractive index and other dispersion parameters were affected as well.
