Nanocellulose is a natural nanomaterial produced by the mechanical disintegration or acid hydrolysis of cellulose fibers. In recent years, nano cellulose has been extensively studied worldwide as a natural biodegradable modifier of synthetic polymer materials. The review describes the use of nanocellulose to improve the transport properties of ultrafiltration membranes used for the purification of aqueous media.
