Abstract
Twenty new pregnane glycosides were isolated from the whole plant of
Caralluma negevensis. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods including 1D-(
1H,
13C,
13C DEPT, TOCSY, ROESY) and 2D-NMR experiments (DQF-COSY, HSQC, HMBC, HOHAHA) as well as ESI-MS analysis. Pregnane glycosides were tested for their cytotoxic and genotoxic activity.
